I was excited about going to Redbox The Gardens, since all the while, I’ve been a loyal Redbox The Curve’s patron. So far, RBTC have manage to get a ‘Pass’ in terms of food, but food are scarce after 9pm.
Food range were aplenty in RBTG, that we greedily put a lot of effort bringing plates and plates of food into our room. Unfortunately, mostly were wasted because of the taste. Let’s see.. the few worthy food will be the Clam with Oyster Sauce, Fried Squid, the desserts and the soups.
The oysters were still okay except for being slightly ‘fishier’ than usual. Mussels don’t taste fresh enough for us as even Jac (a mussel lover) despise them.
As usual, Shyuan started to select songs which she never intended to sing while we’re busy munching away. Jac soon gave up on the food and started to get the best of her money by singing as much as possible. On the contrary, I was trying to get back my cost by taking more and more food and order the most expensive beverage on the menu.
Came to the service part, RBTG won a big applaud for their courteous and steadfast customer service. Drinks were serve fast without having us to remind them for the second time. We even complained on the room being too cold and they promptly provided us with shawls.
Eventually, the night evolved into 90’s band’s night and we started selecting a handful of Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, Spice Girls ‘ songs to sing. Alas, the singing system automatically shuts down at 10.30pm!
